The Singapore certificate of clearance is issued by the Singapore Police Force (SPF). Singapore citizens are required to provide a Singapore certificate of clearance when applying for a work visa, study visa, overseas immigration, and permanent residence.

Non-Singapore citizens are required to apply for eligibility first and will receive a confirmation form after the eligibility application is approved, after which fingerprints will be taken, fingerprints and application forms will be mailed to the Singapore Police Force, and finally the Singapore Police Certificate will be received.
Singapore Citizens Applicants:
The difference between the procedures for Singapore citizens and non-Singapore citizens is that fingerprints are not required, and the other steps are the same as the above non-Singapore citizen application process.

In general, it takes 5-7 working days to apply for the Singapore police certificate, excluding the mailing time.
