UK vital records (birth, death, or marriage certificates)

The apostille of FCO confirms the signature on your document is genuine. Non-criminal, Birth, Marriage, Death, Adoption certificates can be submitted to FCO directly without notarization.

Having a document legalized involves several different steps.

If the documents to be used is not the Hague Convention member, a consular legalization certificate needs to be requested following the FCO authentication step.
