加拿大单身证明主要有两种，其中一种为由加拿大各省人口统计局（Vital Statistics Agency）数据库中检索开具的单身证明（Marriage Search Certificate），另外一种为由申请人自己起草的无配偶声明书（Affidavit of Single Status）。
单身证明（Marriage Search Certificate）
在申请到加拿大单身证明后，需要办理海牙认证才能被国内政府部门认可。
无配偶声明书（Affidavit of Single Status）
由申请人起草一份无配偶及与对方当事人无血亲关系声明书，申请人需当着公证人的面在该声明书上签字，公证人会在该声明书上签字盖章。
